Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate development to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, and compliance with policies via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and cascade business objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership skills, customer service expertise, and financial acumen. Pet care passion, conflict resolution abilities, and flexibility for varied shifts are essential. You'll excel at empowering teams, driving results, and fostering engagement.
