Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster engagement, and handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, optimize operations, and lead events with community partners like adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen for P&L management, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible scheduling is essential.
