Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
  • Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance.
  • Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze data and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
