Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory; review cameras for compliance; partner on events and adoptions.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze data and root causes; communicate objectives; prioritize safe environments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, expertise in team building and financial oversight, and a genuine love for pets.
