Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and targeted business results in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, recognize achievements, and foster an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions (in-person, phone, online); conduct Core and Services Walks; review cameras for safety; manage openings/closings and events with adoption groups.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance and root causes; maintain inventory levels; communicate objectives; prioritize safe environments and policy compliance.
