Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety for all.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in operations and financial metrics, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making.

- Conduct store walks, camera reviews, and process improvements for optimal execution
