Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct compliance walks and monitor inventory.
- Business Management: Analyze metrics, execute strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, inventory management, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability is essential.
