Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions; conduct monthly walks and maintain compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, manage inventory, and drive profitability goals.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in operational and financial analysis, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering associate engagement.
