Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks; oversee inventory and compliance; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; execute corporate strategies; partner on events and community initiatives like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and operational acumen. Pet care passion is a plus. Must excel in delegation, financial oversight, and fostering high engagement in a fast-paced environment.
