Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture, strategies, and vision while delivering exceptional service and efficient daily execution in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture with high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding pet parent service, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize safety via camera reviews and incident response.
- Business Management: Achieve profitability goals, analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, and collaborate on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, process improvement, and passion for pets. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible availability.
