Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain store standards, conduct compliance walks, manage inventory, and review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies, analyze financials, optimize operations, and partner on community events to drive profitability and growth.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L management. Key skills include strategic thinking, conflict resolution, and a passion for pets. Experience in pet retail is a plus. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
