Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values in a high-energy retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open communication and high engagement through recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive store environment compliant with policies.
- Business Management: Drive profitability by analyzing metrics, managing inventory, executing strategies, and partnering on events like adoptions.
- Conduct safety walks, review cameras for coaching, and handle pet emergencies including vet transport.
Experience & Skills

- High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred (experience)

- Ensure exceptional customer service and resolve escalated pet parent concerns
- Conduct store walks, monitor cameras, and maintain compliance with policies and procedures
