Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks and camera reviews; oversee events and compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; manage inventory; communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, pet safety knowledge, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Passion for pets and community engagement is a plus.
