Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build an engaged team.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, review cameras, and handle pet emergencies.
• Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, communicate objectives, and lead events with community partners.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, process improvement, compliance enforcement, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible scheduling is essential.
