Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; conduct monthly walks; maintain standards, inventory, and safety protocols; review cameras for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions; manage opening/closing procedures.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, compliance, and adapting to dynamic environments. Flexible availability required.
