Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks, camera reviews, and maintain compliance with policies.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; manage inventory; lead events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and operational excellence. Passion for pets and customer-centric mindset required.
