Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and all HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and adoption partnerships.
- Operations & Compliance: Manage inventory, conduct safety walks and camera reviews; enforce policies; prioritize pet health interventions.
- Financial & Strategic: Communicate objectives, evaluate processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, and financial savvy. Excel in customer service, HR practices, and operational efficiency. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
