Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and manage team performance; build open-door culture; create schedules; facilitate development, reviews, and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle concerns; lead events and compliance walks; manage inventory and safety protocols.
- Operational Excellence: Drive financial objectives, process improvements, and policy adherence; monitor cameras for risk assessment; respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and operational savvy. Pet industry knowledge is a plus. Must excel in delegation, communication, conflict resolution, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
