Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster open communication, and build engagement through recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; lead events and compliance walks.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies for profitability, manage inventory, review security footage for coaching, and handle pet welfare issues promptly.
