Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; prioritize safety and compliance; oversee inventory and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; execute corporate strategies; collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability to a dynamic retail environment.
