Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and oversee openings/closings.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, maintain inventory, and deliver profitability goals.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, compliance adherence, and problem-solving in dynamic environments.
