Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and targeted business results in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct safety walks; maintain compliance with policies; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability; communicate objectives; review cameras for risk assessment; handle openings/closings.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
