Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with recognition and feedback response.
• Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; oversee inventory and compliance.
• Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and community initiatives like adoptions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
