Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop, and manage performance for entire store team. Foster open-door culture, deliver reviews, recognize achievements, and handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety/health, conduct monthly walks, review cameras for compliance, and maintain inventory levels.
- Operations & Finance: Collaborate on events, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and respond to changing business needs.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven retail leaders with 3+ years management experience, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, and ability to drive results. Must excel in customer service, HR processes, operational efficiency, and creating positive environments. Flexible availability required.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Conduct monthly store walks, inventory compliance, and safety camera reviews

- Maintain policy compliance, pet health protocols, and store standards
