Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate interactions; ensure pet safety; maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; prioritize safe, compliant operations.
Experience & Skills

- Manage inventory, scheduling, and compliance with policies/procedures
- Conduct store walks, camera reviews, and safety assessments
- Drive business goals through strategic execution and team empowerment
- Collaborate on events and community partnerships
- Handle pet health issues and vet transport as needed
- Deliver associate reviews and succession planning
