Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides full leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and handle sick pet protocols.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational excellence. Must thrive in dynamic settings with weekend availability.
