Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture, strategies, and exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; conduct Core & Services Walks and camera reviews for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; manage inventory, analyze performance, and lead events with community adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet care knowledge, and expertise in sales driving, team motivation, and operational efficiency. Flexibility for days, nights, and weekends is essential.
