Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving targeted results in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an engaging open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding customer service, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and respond to concerns.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, oversee opening/closing procedures, and maintain policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in customer service and operations, and a passion for pets. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, effective delegation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with flexible hours.
