Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial outcomes, and all HR functions. You'll drive company culture and strategies, champion exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; maintain standards via monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor cameras for safety; handle sick pets; collaborate on events and adoptions; communicate objectives and adapt to changes.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in financial analysis, conflict resolution, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
