Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build an open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, and engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver exceptional service; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics; communicate objectives; monitor safety via cameras.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, conflict resolution, operational efficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

- Partner on community events and adoption initiatives
- Review security footage and address safety issues
- Handle pet welfare including vet transport if needed
