Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and adoption partnerships; maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Financials: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, prioritize safety, and take action on pet health issues; collaborate for efficient execution.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Experience in pet retail preferred.
