Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient daily execution in our Sydney location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and events.
- Operations & Safety: Review cameras for compliance, address risks, handle pet welfare issues, and collaborate on openings/closings.
- Financial & Strategic: Drive results, communicate objectives, and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service passion, operational expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team building, conflict resolution, financial oversight, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
