Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences, ensure pet safety, resolve concerns, and maintain compliance through monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and customer service, proficiency in financial oversight, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
