Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, champion superior service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open communication, handle grievances, and ensure timely reviews.
- Store Experience: Prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, and lead events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and customer-centric operations. Flexibility for varied shifts and a passion for pets are essential.
