Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; conduct Core and Services Walks; maintain compliance and safety standards.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies for profitability; manage inventory, communicate objectives, and review cameras for coaching opportunities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Passion for pets, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and empowerment are essential. Flexible availability for days, nights, and weekends required.
