Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while achieving targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; maintain store standards via monthly walks and camera reviews; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; respond to changing priorities.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, operational acumen, and a passion for pets. Proficiency in financial oversight, compliance, and problem-solving is essential. Flexible availability required.
