Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance; review cameras for safety.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and customer focus.
