Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver exceptional service in-store, online, and via phone; lead events and adoption partnerships.
- Operations & Finance: Manage inventory, conduct safety walks, review cameras for compliance, communicate objectives, and optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, HR proficiency, problem-solving, and passion for pets. Must excel in coaching, delegation, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced environment.
