Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, and engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; conduct compliance walks and inventory checks.
- Operations & Safety: Review cameras for risk assessment; handle pet emergencies; collaborate on events and community partnerships.
- Financial & Strategic: Communicate objectives; optimize processes; maintain policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service passion, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, conflict resolution, financial oversight, and operational efficiency. Experience with HR functions and safety protocols is essential.
