Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, deliver exceptional service, and execute strategies to meet business goals while ensuring a safe, engaging environment for associates, pets, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews and recognition; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure safety and health of pets; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics; drive profitability; execute corporate strategies; monitor cameras for safety.
Experience & Skills

- Analyze business metrics, execute corporate strategies, and achieve profitability goals
- Foster associate engagement through recognition, training, and open communication
- Collaborate on in-store events and community partnerships
- Monitor store cameras and address safety risks promptly
