Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build an engaged team.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding in-person, phone, and online service; conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and maintain compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, optimize inventory, lead events, and achieve profitability goals.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability is essential.
