Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct compliance walks and inventory checks; partner on community events.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; optimize processes; review security footage for coaching and risk management.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, and a passion for pets.
