Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct Core and Services Walks, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Drive profitability through strategic execution, inventory control, and operational efficiency; analyze performance and cascade objectives to the team.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume settings, and a pet-loving mindset. Key skills include team motivation, financial acumen, customer obsession, process optimization, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
