Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; address grievances and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; review cameras for safety; maintain inventory and standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; execute corporate strategies; lead openings/closings and community events.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven leaders with retail management experience, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must excel in delegation, communication, compliance, and adapting to dynamic environments. Flexible scheduling required.
