Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient business execution in our Utica location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, and compliance via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Achieve profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize inventory, and cascade objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in sales driving, team motivation, and operational excellence. Must excel in communication, problem-solving, and adapting to dynamic retail demands.
