Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive strategies for exceptional service, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory, events, and compliance; review cameras for safety coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze data and root causes; communicate objectives; handle openings/closings and vet transports as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include delegation, problem-solving, pet passion, and adaptability to dynamic environments. Flexible availability required.

- Ensure compliance with policies, conduct safety walks, and manage inventory levels
