Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR. You'll champion PetSmart's vision by driving results, exceptional service, and efficient execution while empowering your team to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; deliver reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, monitor cameras, and uphold policies.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, maintain inventory, and lead events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, pet industry knowledge, and skills in financial oversight, team motivation, and operational excellence. Passion for pets and customer focus required.
