Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; lead pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks; manage inventory and compliance.
- Operational Excellence: Review cameras for safety; respond to pet health issues; collaborate on events; communicate business objectives.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, strong team-building skills, pet care knowledge, financial acumen, and passion for customer service. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and fostering engagement in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
