Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) oversees all aspects of store operations, including team leadership, pet parent experiences, safety, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and achieving business goals in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
• Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage pet parent interactions; lead monthly walks, camera reviews, and compliance with policies.
• Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, maintain inventory, and communicate objectives to drive results.
• Safety & Operations: Prioritize safe environments, handle sick pets, oversee opening/closing, and partner on community events.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, expertise in operations and customer service, and a passion for pets.
