Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct monthly walks; monitor compliance via cameras; manage openings/closings.
- Business Management: Drive profitability through strategy execution; analyze metrics and root causes; optimize inventory; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet industry knowledge, and proficiency in operations, sales, and HR. Must thrive in dynamic environments, prioritize safety, and deliver results. Flexible availability required.
